In case you had no idea, Bergdorf Goodman (founded in 1899) moved their store into the former home(or Mansion rather) of the great Cornelius Vanderbilt in 1928. Unbelievable, but the Vanderbilt's no less, that makes sense. Even better, the actual Goodman family lived in the penthouse of the store until 1997 when it turned into a Salon! Now you can say you have been in both their homes.
Sex and the City as well as Gossip Girl are only a few of the very known shows to have mentioned the glamorous store.
