Palais Garnier - Opera National de Paris
8 rue Scribe, Place de l'Opera, 75009 Paris
Opéra Garnier, as well as the most famous Opera house worldwide. Construction initiated by Emperor Napoléon III, who then picked Baron Haussmann to supervise during the rebuilding years of Paris, taking 14 years to build (1861-1875), originally and still currently home to the famous ballet. The architect Charles Garnier, which the palace was named after, became the architect after winning a competition. This is where the Elite Parisians would come to be seen. The building is incredibly beautiful inside and out.
