The Fitzgerald's, 1926 ~ Antibes France
The buzz has been all around! The actual house that thee F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald lived and threw parties for their wealthy friends in is on the market for $3.8 million!
Great Neck, L.I.
During the most glamorous years of 1922-24 the Fitzgerald's resided in this 7 bedroom mansion in Great Neck, Long Island. Possibly where the fun war between the new and old money came into play? West Egg vs East Egg? Sound familiar ;)
Allegedly, above the garage (now a bedroom) is where F. Scott started the famous novel "The Great Gatsby"... completing the book in 1924 when he moved to the South of France.. where I wonder if this is parallel with the New York Times article telling about the house he moved into in Juan-les-Pins, France during the 1920's! Said house has since been turned into a hotel that I am VERY MUCH HOPING to visit this summer, called the Belles-Rives! Let's see.. Hemingway Bar in The Ritz Paris - check.. only makes sense I now need to try a cocktail in the Fitzgerald Bar right??
Well, à bientôt for now!
