Classic Vintage Luggage...the only way to go.

From around the world, from the most famous of names, Vintage luggage... there is just something so elegant and exciting about it... maybe because of the look it, or maybe because it means you are about to embark on a Bon Voyage... or maybe just the idea of packing with no idea what the future holds is so exciting. Either way over the last few months I have seen some of the most beautiful classic vintage luggage from Louis Vuitton to Goyard, along with a history of both merci to Paris! ...How I miss you...

The owner of Goyard buys and collects any vintage piece he can find, this item once belonged to Thee Duke of Windsor.. You are seeing correctly...

ONLY Royalty can have any crown of their choice printed onto the piece they buy. There is even a book that verifies the title of every Royal member world wide. (I was able to look through it too)

The Louvre provided an exciting tour of the history of both Mr. Vuitton and Mr. Jacobs, while a dear friend who worked at Goyard provided a private tour of the store and their history to me. Both, fascinating.

Above, all original Louis Vuitton pieces...

Travelers once had to bring everything they needed, even a bed! The luggage below was the case for this folded bed, incredible.

Fun facts: Goyard was actually the first to think of monogramming luggage and also the first to start making bags out of canvas, then LV followed. Canvas is actually also better than leather since leather over time soaks in water which eventually ruins it. Canvas is also less expensive :)
