Secret Passage into Greenwich Village

I will not reveal the name of this street since I was lucky enough to meet the lovely man that has lived here since '74, but I will give you a peek inside. This is a gorgeous townhouse, but can you find what makes this one so special? Look to the right... Do you see the very thin passage way to the back? The first townhouse built in 1828 hides the house off the main street that didn't show up on the map until 1880, notice I didn't say built in 1880... There are only a little over 100 of these houses left in Greenwich Village. Originally resided by a carpenter in the front house, he then built this back house for his workers to live in, however there is no evidence they ever moved in. How do they get furniture back there? By bringing it through the front house haha. It was a pleasure meeting you Ron and thank you again! Fascinating.

Look for the very thin black door to the right...

Can you see the open sun room on the top right?

This is the house behind the townhouse.

A closer look...

This is as tiny as it looks!
